Coming out here, I really had no expectations of what I wanted to accomplish from this move. All I knew was that Hawaii was where I wanted to be so I took a leap of faith and trusted that I would land on my feet. And I am so happy that I made that decision because I had reached a point in my life where I felt stuck. I wasn't entirely happy at my previous job and I needed a change from my then current surroundings. Not that Southern California is a bad place to be by any means, but having lived there my whole life, everything was too repetitive and I wasn't motivated mentally, physically and emotionally. It was time for a change. I needed to spread my wings and venture out into the unknown...or as I'd like to call it...my little tropical rock in the Pacific. The most valuable lesson I have learned so far is that every adventure, big or small, is worthwile because we must take adventures in order to know where we truly belong. Who knows if Hawaii is the do-all, end-all for me or if life will lead me on another path in the future. But for right now, I am embracing this Aloha-spirit of mine and rockin' a hula skirt every chance I get!

Aloha!
WOW. I can't believe it has been 2 years since I last posted. Much has changed since then, that's for sure! The biggest change happened 3 months ago when I quit my job in sunny Southern California and moved out to island paradise Hawaii. It has always been a dream of mine to live out here at some point in my life and finally, the stars aligned and I was able to make my dream a reality! I am certainly loving this new chapter of my life so far. I got a job working at this incredible hotel right on the beach on the island of Oahu. My long-time friend turned boyfriend moved out here about a month after I arrived and we have been having the greatest time making the best memories together. I am also closer to my family and of course, I'm wearing a bikini and frolicking along the beach almost every single day. Need I say more?!
