'Carpe Diem'. Seize the day. Make the most of it. Don't let life pass you by. To me, it means whatever you want it to mean.
Personally, I like the meaning "seas the day". Pun intended!
Why? Because in order to really LIVE life, you must...
☼ Be shore of yourself
☼ Come out of your shell
☼ Take time to coast
☼ Avoid pier pressure
☼ Sea life's beauty
☼ Don't get tide down
☼ Make waves!
This is your life. Do what you want and do it often. If you don't like something, change it. If you don't like your job, then quit. If you don't have enough time, stop watching TV (or get off your phone). If you are looking for the love of your life, stop - they will be waiting for you when you start doing things you love. Stop over-analyzing, life is simple. All emotions are beautiful. When you eat, appreciate every last bite. Open your heart, mind and arms to new things and people - we are united in our differences. Ask the next person you see what their passion is and share your inspiring dream with them. Travel often - getting lost will help you find yourself. Some opportunities only come once, seize them. Life is about the people you meet and the things you create with them, so go out and start creating. Life is short, live your dream and wear your passion! ☮
So what's stopping you? What are you waiting for? There's a great big world out there...go out and LIVE IT!

There are many things in life that I am passionate about but one thing that I am SUPER passionate about is giving back. There is something so fulfilling and rewarding knowing that you are doing something for someone who can never repay you. Earlier this year, I was blessed to have had the opportunity to work with a company called Sevenly. They are a small company based in Southern California that is making a huge impact all over the world! Their mission: to change lives. And they are certainly doing so by having already generated over 2.8 million dollars for charities since January, 2011. How Sevenly works is that each week they team up with a charity to help raise funds and awareness for 7 full days and each purchase made through Sevenly.org gives $7 to the charity partner for the week. Sounds so simple, right? Their products range from awesome one-of-a-kind design t-shirts for men, women and children, jewelry, artwork, household items, toys and more!
Some of their past campaigns have included charities such as: Invisible Children, Hope For The Warriors, Generosity Water, End 7, Action Against Hunger, 4 Paws For Ability, Seven Days Of Christmas, Forward Edge International, The Humane Society, TWLOHA, Mercy Ships, Help USA and many others!
Check out www.sevenly.org today and help give back, raise awareness and change lives!

WOW. I can't believe it has been 2 years since I last posted. Much has changed since then, that's for sure! The biggest change happened 3 months ago when I quit my job in sunny Southern California and moved out to island paradise Hawaii. It has always been a dream of mine to live out here at some point in my life and finally, the stars aligned and I was able to make my dream a reality! I am certainly loving this new chapter of my life so far. I got a job working at this incredible hotel right on the beach on the island of Oahu. My long-time friend turned boyfriend moved out here about a month after I arrived and we have been having the greatest time making the best memories together. I am also closer to my family and of course, I'm wearing a bikini and frolicking along the beach almost every single day. Need I say more?!
Coming out here, I really had no expectations of what I wanted to accomplish from this move. All I knew was that Hawaii was where I wanted to be so I took a leap of faith and trusted that I would land on my feet. And I am so happy that I made that decision because I had reached a point in my life where I felt stuck. I wasn't entirely happy at my previous job and I needed a change from my then current surroundings. Not that Southern California is a bad place to be by any means, but having lived there my whole life, everything was too repetitive and I wasn't motivated mentally, physically and emotionally. It was time for a change. I needed to spread my wings and venture out into the unknown...or as I'd like to call it...my little tropical rock in the Pacific. The most valuable lesson I have learned so far is that every adventure, big or small, is worthwile because we must take adventures in order to know where we truly belong. Who knows if Hawaii is the do-all, end-all for me or if life will lead me on another path in the future. But for right now, I am embracing this Aloha-spirit of mine and rockin' a hula skirt every chance I get!
